Slippy Waterfall

已发表: 10.03.2024

On our way further into the north of Thailand today we stop at a famous waterfall. It's swarming with tourists here. We are again asked firmly but kindly by John to put on our swimsuits. So far we have no idea what to expect. 🤷🏼‍♀️John now gives us instructions on which way we should take down. The steps seem to never end. We seem to be in the middle of the jungle. Then we can't go any further and to get back up we have to take the path through the water, along a waterfall. It looks like this: Sabine goes in front, I follow on all fours. Which is why the waterfall is called slippy, It becomes clear to us very quickly, sometimes a bit roughly. However, there are plenty of aids and you can climb up using ropes. I must be tired of life or just hungry for adventure. Once at the top, Sabine suggests repeating the whole thing to take photos. I feared it, but I agree. We are already sure-footed and I even walk upright. 😬Shortly before the finish it happens. A family sits in front of me completely distraught. The woman appears to have slipped because she is bleeding from her nose. I help her because you have to imagine that the whole thing is happening at a 60 degree angle. I hang on the rope and try to help the woman. Of course I slip and hit my lip. Once again, I think. Having just lost my swelling, I give myself another booster. Bee is currently taking her 100th selfie.😅
Insight of the day - Don't act like that, Kristine, after all, you wanted an adventure.
PS Unfortunately not all 500 photos could be uploaded because I have a problem with Apple, sorry. 🙄But it will be made up for.
