Through ups and downs

We spent Domi's birthday together with Marius at Earl's campground. We had good weather and in the morning we went for a short hike around a beach and the boys collected mussels, which we then had for lunch with onions in white wine sauce.

In the afternoon, Marius showed us his favorite beach, which was beautiful with white sandy beach and turquoise water - the best part: we were almost alone there. In the evening, we had cheese fondue and wine to end the day.

Back in Auckland, we finally had our appointment with the self-contained inspector. Unfortunately, it didn't go so well and we had to come back the next day to make some small changes.

But now it's official, we are officially self-contained. Well... not quite yet, we found out the next morning when we were parked at a campground and an officer woke us up early by knocking on the window - we still needed a sticker on the front windshield. So it was back to waiting and drinking lots of herbal tea....
