Good evening kids,
Today was a perfect day. We set off early at 9:00 am, backpacker style, to the city center of our little village near Yala National Park. There we arranged to ride with an English tuk-tuk driver to Melissa. Although it's about 160 km, we wanted to drive along the coastal road and stop at different villages. The driver was incredibly nice and a genuine guide as he taught us a lot about the culture, tradition, lifestyle, and religion of Sri Lanka. Along the way, we indulged in a lot of international stuff to eat and drink, which was tasty but not completely agreeable for the German stomach and taste buds. In other words, I sweated like a pig because it was way too spicy (considered 'mild' in Sri Lanka).
When we arrived in Melissa (6 hours later), we went to the beach. There we met the enchanting ladies from the previous places, so we had deep conversations all evening and danced until 3 am, of course, while enjoying countless refreshing drinks.
It was a perfect day.
Cheers!
