On the 2nd day in Vega, the weather was nice. This time, we left the bikes behind to visit the local museum focusing on eider ducks and rural life in Vega.
After a hearty breakfast at the cafeteria with shrimp sandwiches and waffles, we started the circular trail.
The down feathers are really soft and Julius immediately started processing them.
Norwegian museums do a great job of combining the life of the population with the use of state-of-the-art technologies to illustrate social, historical, and geographical developments. Furthermore, they are very cozy and inviting.
Therefore, it was already afternoon when we went for a short hike along the coastal landscape.
This can be compared to a spring alpine hike with us, but with the sea. The kids took the opportunity to play intensively on the beach.
In the evening, we finally took the ferry back to the mainland, where we slept at a remarkable campsite. Someone built a large cabin there to stylishly display their collections for their wife (or the wife herself) :-)
PS: Since Sina is not available, Julius is now helping out as a photographer.
