The Ghan, Darwin - Katherine

Today we boarded the Ghan. The (new) train station in Darwin is far outside the city, much further than the airport. Probably, they want to avoid disturbances from a train. The Ghan is reminiscent of our trains from the 1950s. So it feels nearly romantic. We were greeted with a breakfast buffet and, of course, champagne à discrétion. Our two carriage hostesses are slender, long-legged beauties. Hasi and Mungg are happy as they can order champagne at will. The journey takes us through areas we have already explored extensively.
