Arrival & 1st day

After a calm and pleasant flight, we landed today on Thursday. Immediately, a steel blue sky and nice warm weather welcomed us in Cape Town.

As it usually goes, there were some organizational things to take care of, a quick shopping for essentials and the pickup of our two rental cars. The Lustig family got a super sleek Kia SUV and we got a spacious silver Tiguan. Threw our suitcases in and off we went to our first accommodation: Lauradale Accommodation in Stellenbosch.

We got 3 super beautiful and spacious suites (seriously, the shower alone is as big as our bathroom at home) and we decided that we deserved a cooling off in the pool and some chill time.

In the evening, we were allowed to go to our wedding venue Zorgvliet to eat (usually no external restaurant visitors are allowed). We were so excited to stand in front of this fountain again after exactly 2 years! Immediately, we were warmly welcomed and our waiter recognized us right away (of course - Marc felt like he took 1000 photos with him at our wedding at the photobooth :))

After a great dinner, delicious wine, and lovingly decorated coffee and dessert, we are now tired but happy and looking forward to a well-deserved sleep. Since Christine (our heart of Zorgvliet) already had the evening off and we didn't see her anymore, we will "surprise" her tomorrow. But more about that in the next post - stay tuned - we still have a lot to do ;)
