Today we are following in the footsteps of Patrick Süskind's adaptation of 'Perfume'.
'The novel about the main character Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an eccentric obsessed with scents, depicts the world of smells as intensely as no other novel. Patrick Süskind himself worked for several months at the Fragonard perfumery in the traditional perfume city of Grasse in southern France to acquire the knowledge for his book.'
Grasse is only 17km away from Cannes and is famous for its perfume industry and the film. The scents lure in every corner, every alley. Expensive perfumes in even more expensive bottles.
You can visit the perfumeries and take guided tours, spend a lot of money and let yourself be intoxicated by the variety of scents.
Only the search for a parking space was very frustrating. It is almost impossible for motorhomes. We were lucky and walked into the city from a little outside.
Despite today's bad weather with a lot of rain, we liked the city very much.
