So this time we're really going to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, unfortunately there was no tour this time. I didn't find the book particularly exciting, but you have to see it in Ireland. However, the Long Room, that is, the library, was very beautiful.
We had enough time afterwards, so we visited two churches.
Christ Church, where we had a very nice and interesting tour, where we went up to the bell tower and rang the bells. Surprise surprise, of course the bell tower is not as high as the one in St. Stephen's Cathedral, everything is a bit smaller in Ireland, I know that by now. Quite strange, cool were the rat and the mouse that were found in the organ after a renovation and are now on display.
St Patrick's Cathedral, where we had a guide who thought he was incredibly cool. He was very extroverted and told stories with real enthusiasm, although sometimes it was a bit exhausting.
I find it a bit strange that there is a sales table right in the church where you pay admission and I find it a bit strange that the gift shop is right in the church. After all, these are still active churches.
