A long stretch (274km - this takes about 6 hours here, due to fog, mountains, cows, and sheep, see pictures) from Bakka through Flåm and Aurland across Jotunheimen National Park to a nice campsite in Vågåmo right by the river, front row for the moderate price of 300 NOK including electricity, free showers, etc.
Tao unfortunately caught a bit of a cold while/after swimming - no wonder, the water is ice-cold - and now she is lying grumpily on the hot water bottle all day, but she is already feeling much better.
The Jotunheimen Park is stunning. At times, there was so much fog that visibility dropped to less than 20m. But what we could see... we will take a closer look at in the next few days. Simply driving through was already spectacular. The landscape changed between Canada, Austria, Lüneburg Heath, ski areas, Ronja the Robber's Daughter, troll forests, giant homes, and moon landscapes.
John drives and Anna navigates, we have really settled into our roles well now.
