We drove in the morning to the small harbor town of Honfleur and secured a parking spot with a view of the water, where we parked our RV.

Then we set out for our first exploration of the town with the prettiest harbor in Normandy.

At the harbor basin, we remembered that we had enjoyed ice cream here on our last vacation. Today too, the sun was shining from the blue sky - despite the not-so-promising weather forecast.

We walked through the small streets of the old town and encountered many other tourists. We also came across several groups from cruise ships. We overheard a lot of German because, apparently, some AIDA excursions were currently in the city.

We arrived at the church of Sainte Catherine, which was built entirely of wood.

Around the church, there were some market and sales stands set up, where we bought regional products like typical cheeses from Normandy.

We then brought our purchases back to the RV, from where we set off to the bus station after a short lunch break.

We drove to the nearby Deauville, which, together with the neighboring Trouville, is a hotspot for celebrities in Normandy.

The well-kept appearance of the promenades and splendid villas clearly indicated that a lot of money vacations here.

A wide sandy beach attracted several visitors that day despite the still fresh wind and sunshine.

Our stroll took us past the chic luxury hotel Normandy, but we preferred to stop for a delicious ice cream at a small café in the pedestrian zone.

Along the water, we then walked to the adjacent Trouville.

The beach was noticeably livelier with many play options for children, and the casino sparkled along the promenade.

In the alleys behind it, however, the place seemed significantly smaller and less attractive than the neighboring city.

By bus, we returned to Honfleur, where we took another walk in the evening.

In doing so, we followed an 'Adventure Lab' tracing various famous personalities from Honfleur.

Thus, we discovered new corners of the city that has produced the well-known painter Eugène Boudin.

The musician Erik Satie also has a dedicated museum.

Since we wanted to do a bit more in Honfleur, we spontaneously decided to stay one more night to explore the place further the next day.
