This morning around 9 o'clock we started heading towards Dunedin, the 'Edinburgh' of the South Island. It seemed to be a nice town while driving through. But we decided to keep going north. We didn't want the buzz of the city after so much peace. Now we are in a TOP 10 HOLIDAY PARK in Oamaru. Simple cabin, but very clean bathroom facilities. And here they have a German Bakery. We went there and were lucky because they actually close at 4 o'clock. We bought a bread and we'll try it tomorrow. The baker's wife didn't look very appetizing. Unkempt. She said that they are from near Aachen and emigrated here. There was also a 'butcher' on the street; but it looked closed. It seems that some people from Germany have settled here. Some names sound very German. In any case, this town is completely different from all the others so far. There must have been a lot of money here at some point. But that was once.... There was something to take pictures of along the way, but the internet is acting up again. So the photos are still pending.
