Lübeck is pretty. The river here is called Trave and surrounds the medieval city center. We walk around a bit, have coffee, shop at DM, and disappear again. Recommendation for a visit? In my opinion, more suitable for a day trip.
Forty years ago, Benjamin and I got stuck in the local youth hostel for three days on our bike tour through the north because of the strong wind. I hardly have any memories of the city.

Wismar
We liked Wismar better. Really beautiful, with a lot of renovated old buildings. I could imagine a short vacation here very well.
New harbor with silly Volker Old harbor with serious seagull Boulette with stewed peas and mashed potatoes. Delicious and cheap, only €7.9. Stewing is by the way a synonym for simmering. The East had no money to tear down the old stuff. I believe houses from the Swedish period of Wismar. St Mary's. One of the churches of Brick Gothic
Zingst
We arrive in Zingst around half past four. The campsite calls itself a wellness camp because it also has an indoor pool with a sauna and all kinds of other things. We didn't need it, it just makes it more expensive, but the other place was fully booked. Set-up time 45 minutes. Great beach with volleyball nets. How romantic ...
