We are heading to Bihać, located directly on the Una river at a campsite about 5 km south.
The drive was relaxed, mostly on country roads. The entry into Bosnia was creepy. Everyone is checked at the border. Including us. A Croatian officer scans our passports, looks critically at her screen, but finally lets us through. I'm about to accelerate when Katja tells me I have to stop here too, at the Bosnian colleagues. That would have been fun if I had just driven past. You just don't know anymore, entry and exit controls.
The campsite is elegantly simple, with borderline sanitary facilities, but beautifully located.
The next day we set off on our bikes to Bihać.
We wanted to be in nature on this vacation. So we decided to ride our bikes along the Una river towards the south, to the Una National Park.
At some point, the road becomes so bad that we leave the bikes behind and continue on foot. After about a kilometer, the road is good again for the bikes, but we continue hiking, which annoys Katja because the road is good and she would have preferred to ride her bike.
