亚马逊丛林第三天

已发布: 21.06.2022

Today, we witnessed another amazing sunrise. We didn't even have to walk back to our beds because breakfast was already served. Today, we had a boat tour with a jungle trek scheduled for 6:45 AM.

We were going to see a 400-year-old tree. The boat tour on the Amazon River took a whole hour. It was funny to see many children coming towards us on a boat. They are transported to school that way. Well, how else are they supposed to get from point A to point B?

After almost exactly an hour, we reached our landing spot. Now it was time to go through the jungle again. Because there had been a storm during the night, it was very slippery in some places. We had to be extremely careful not to slip. The guide told us not to touch any trees or anything because there might be spiders in their holes or snakes. Everything went well.

Then this gigantic big tree stood before us. Yup, that was one giant. Numerous little bats were hanging from its bark and a small cute orange frog was sitting on it. The guide told us that the frog was extremely poisonous. Oh well, this little thing. Look at that, I still found it cute. Suddenly, it sounded like little propellers were flying next to us. Those were three hummingbirds that kept flying to the tree to nibble on its bark. Our second guide showed us a young Brazilian 'Hawk' sitting on top of the tree. It was really cute, it was constantly screaming for its mother. It felt threatened by us, even though we were standing so far below. After countless photos of the tree and the nature, it was time to go back to the boat.

When we were back at the lodge, we had to pack our bags because our time in the jungle was over. Luckily, Daniela critically questioned the departure time to the airport that had been planned the day before, otherwise the plane would have taken off without us!!!

One thing that should be mentioned here is the almost professionally set up manicure corner by the lodge owner in the living area. Several hours of nail care and coloring were dedicated to it every day :-) What else would you do in the jungle...

Matheu had booked two more nights and he wanted to spend them in a survival camp in the middle of the jungle. I just smiled and wished him endless luck and joy for it.

After lunch, we were taken back to Manaus. Our flights were very pleasant and we were back at the hotel in Rio around 11:45 PM. Daniela took care of the bus connection to Ilha Grande the next day and then it was just Goodnight :-)
