18.11.18 - Cape Tribulation

Today we had booked the next tour... In the morning we didn't know what to expect. 😬

We were picked up early at 7 am at the hostel and then we drove to Port Douglas. We had about 1 hour there to visit a market and the beach. Another German joined us there and spent the day with us. After that we went to the Daintree Rainforest. A famous national park of the rainforest. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time there... The guide took a short walk with us and explained some things about palm trees and ferns. Then we continued by bus. A drive of about 1.5 hours through the rainforest to Cape Tribulation... I don't know what was so special about it... There was a hostel where 5 or 6 people from the whole tour stayed for one night, and there was a beach where there was a risk of crocodile attack... After about 1 hour, and some spiders spotted, we drove back again. At a lookout we made a short photo stop and then continued to a small boat. There we took a one-hour ride on a river where crocodiles live, but we didn't see any. We were picked up by the bus on the other side of the river and then we went back to Cairns.

It was alright to see... But it wasn't a real highlight 😝
