The motorcycle has received its final touches today and is fully fueled, ready for departure. The tank bag with the maps and documents for the ferry, both side cases, the top case, and the duffel bag filled with essential camping gear have significantly increased the overall weight. Later on, it will turn out that about half of it is totally unnecessary ballast. But for now, the anticipation is so great that I simply push aside any concerns. I will go to bed early as I have set the departure time for 5 am - of course, I can't fall asleep!
