Visiting Åndalsnes againToday we are going on a search for the trolls (AND 05 [/uploads/be6d4960-dba9-11e9-af8b-f73951c9d73e.jpg_large.jpg]Looks like we found the first troll :) - In the background is the impressive Troll Wall The road of the trolls, or the way from Åndalsnes through the Isterdal up to Trollstigen is truly exciting. 18 km and 11 hairpin bends with a gradient of around 12%. Yes, it may not be for everyone. You pass by an impressive backdrop and are surrounded by mountains up to 1,700 meters high. Our bus driver kept making jokes about the narrow road and hairpin bends in between. I have to say, I liked it - okay, I'm also not afraid of heights. :-) [/uploads/3eb228d0-dba9-11e9-af8b-f73951c9d73e.jpg_large.jpg] Arriving at the Trollstigen visitor center, we could go to two different viewpoints.I preferred the path to the Utsikten - a platform above a cliff, 200 meters above the Trollstigen. From here we had a great view of the hairpin bends and the valley. [/uploads/3fc594a0-dba9-11e9-8c98-3f6311bb1e08.jpg_large.jpg] Speechless. Impressed. Fascinated.
