Yellowstone NP

The epitome of a National Park...and the oldest one too! Truly magnificent! It seamlessly connects to Grand Teton NP. If you want to experience great natural spectacles combined with freely roaming wild animals that you wouldn't see otherwise, you should definitely come here! We have seen so much already, but this was definitely one of the highlights! It's impossible to tell everything in detail...you should see it for yourself if possible!...just not during peak season! We had trouble finding a place to sleep even before. You need a campsite within the parks, otherwise camping is illegal, as we found out at Grand Canyon. It's like a race against time...you have to get up very early to get something...because here it's a race to be the first. It's also difficult to avoid the crowds of Americans and Asians during the day, so you should definitely use the early morning hours. But back to the park...it is famous for its geysers, hot springs, and mud pots...it bubbles, boils, and steams on every corner, constantly in motion and the heat from the Earth's interior is surprisingly close. Beautiful colors are created by mineral deposits and microorganisms. It has an impressive atmosphere.

Yellowstone is not only a great natural phenomenon but also home to many amazing animals that are hardly found in the wild anymore, such as grizzlies, black bears, bisons, elks, wolves, etc. There are countless safety warnings and instructions on what to do in case of emergency. It's not a zoo, but that's exactly what's beautiful about it! There's no guarantee that you'll encounter them, but you should be prepared. Armed with bear spray, we continued our search for animals, but we hadn't encountered anything except countless deer. When we almost gave up hope of seeing large wildlife, three bisons suddenly appeared on the side of the road!!! We were thrilled by these large and impressive animals! So they weren't only on the brochures. From that day on, the spell was broken and we encountered them a few more times, individually and in herds. Once they all wanted to cross the road...it was impressive to see how calmly these giants made their way through the stalled line of cars and cleared the way for the herd and their calves. An extraordinary experience!
