19.08.16: Amazing Day in Osaka

With the Amazing Pass, I was able to ride the subway all day and had free access to numerous tourist attractions throughout Osaka.

I started at Osaka Castle. After a tour of the exterior grounds and a walk through the castle park (at a pleasant 36°C), I headed to the impressive main tower. Surprisingly, the inside feels more like a department store, complete with an elevator and air conditioning. Inside is a museum, and there's an observation deck on top.

After visiting the castle, I went to the waterfront district. There, I took a harbor cruise on the 'Santamaria' and then rode the Ferris wheel again. The view was quite nice.

After that, I went to HEP5, the large shopping center with the Ferris wheel. After an interesting shopping tour, I decided to skip the Ferris wheel this time and go eat something before relaxing in the onsen in the evening.
