A sunny morning dawns. The last things are being packed up. We leave our accommodation clean and take with us many beautiful impressions. It's a sporty way back to the train station. We drive to Westerland just in time. Breakfast is bought at the bakery. In a good mood we roll towards Hamburg on the IC 2311. In Niebüll the train gets another log with more wagons. It's great to have a train-loving student there. So I'm slowly getting to know the differences between the individual ICE models. Two students observed the coupling of two trains up close.
Our students are becoming more and more independent. They slowly realize that they have to think through the next steps of the journey independently and that we are not the ones to provide information. And even if it's just little things like how long do we have to change trains, when do we meet where again, which seats have we reserved. Of course, it always takes a lot of time for the group to ask the right questions or get the important answers.
