No, we're not crazy, but it's really something to see here. The pass between Field and Lake Louise is too steep for trains. Instead of building one large tunnel, many small tunnels and curves were planned where the train winds down / up.
Trains in Canada are extremely long, so it's possible to see the train in three different places at once as it tackles the slope. It's really interesting.
We'll also visit Field, a historically preserved village in Yoho National Park. The Side Café is a good recommendation for a meal. The atmosphere is very nice and you eat in the midst of artwork, traditional Canadian style.
