The Abel Tasman National Park and Golden Bay can only be reached through countless curves and serpentines, and it takes a lot of patience to finally stroll along the long sandy beaches and get a South Seas feeling. We drove to Farewell Cap and Waihiri Beach. It was worth it, besides sand dunes and sea lions, it was infinitely wide and beautiful. Surprisingly, there were many Germans at the campsite. We will first explore Abel Tasman National Park from the boat before we hike a small section ourselves. The beaches are great and we finally go for a swim.
