###English Version below###

A year on the road – have I reached a point of no return? Looking back on the past year, it was one of the most formative periods of my life. I set off for the North Cape and saw the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.

Inside me, I felt so much fear, so much insecurity, so much uncertainty, and so much dread of the unknown. Of what was yet to come. This period held me so captive in the future and the past that I sometimes felt almost incapable of coping with myself. The uncertainty about the future led me to a place where I was never truly present. I constantly worried about the future while reliving all the traumas of my past.

On the Schweibenalp, I met so many wonderful, like-minded people for the first time, and for the first time, I didn't think so much about my future and worry so much. I could feel that spark inside me, a little tingle, a faint sense that perhaps a great life was waiting to be discovered. And I'm not saying I was never happy in my old life. I've always been a positive person and made the best of every situation. I have a family, I have good friends, a secure job, and financial stability. I realized that I didn't leave because I didn't like it or because I was completely unhappy. There was something else inside me that knew that this wasn't all there was, not the only way, that there was more. And for the first time in my life, I allowed myself to want more. For a long time, I couldn't really put my finger on why I left or why I started. And looking back now, I would say that something inside me was screaming so loudly that I could no longer ignore it.

A premonition, an inner voice, the feeling: now or never. So, without the slightest plan, I set off, and so far I can say: it was the best decision of my life. I've met the most amazing people in the world. Although, of course, the most amazing people are also at home. I've experienced different ways of life and realized that I don't have to spend my time alone and isolated, hoping that a relationship will make this feeling of emptiness disappear. Waiting for the next get-together with my friends or family, which only happens every few weeks because life is so hectic and time flies. I know that I truly want to live with wonderful people, that we can see each other whenever we want, in the kitchen, cooking together, sharing our deepest thoughts and doubts, and carrying and supporting each other through this life.

I've realized we live in a system that no longer works. We get up in the morning to bust our asses for a company that doesn't even care how we feel. And when we're sick, the most important question is when we'll be healthy again, so we can serve the same source that made us sick in the first place. I want to live in a system that cares about the planet, nature, animals, and people.

Let's return to our basic needs: food and shelter. Beyond that, one of our most important needs as human beings is connection. Connecting, seeing each other again. Supporting each other when needed. Emotional connection and—my most important personal insight on this journey—physical touch without ulterior motives and outside of sexual or intimate relationships. Outside the bedroom. One day I will publish a separate article on precisely this topic, because for me it was a crucial turning point. It was essentially THE missing piece.

Life isn't about making as much money as possible, it's not about building a big career, not about the reputation you've cultivated, not about the number of followers, and not about constantly creating more content. My conclusion after a year of traveling is: Less is more. Less money, less content, less pressure, less responsibility, less consumption, less luxury, less possessions. What the world and humanity need is more connection to nature, to animals, and to each other; more interconnectedness, more touch, more mutual listening, more mutual care, more togetherness, less solitude. More serenity and more acceptance that everything comes and goes. More acceptance that giving and receiving is the cycle of life. More letting go of control, because ultimately, we don't control anything. When we accept that, life becomes so much simpler.

And if you're reading this and thinking, "That's easy to say, she has no obligations, she doesn't have to worry about anything, she's free," then I just want to remind you that I created this freedom for myself, and it wasn't easy. I was engaged, we had bought a house, I had a secure, well-paying job, and I left all of that behind. Because deep inside, there was a calling that told me there was a higher purpose for me in this world, to expand and explore my little universe. I had to go through a lot of darkness before I could slowly begin to see what it was all for.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you have to leave your family, sell your house, and leave everything behind—that was simply my path. I just want to remind you that every decision you make today can change your tomorrow. That you have the power to make choices that are good for the planet, your family, and your children, and that you realize it's not just about money, not just about owning things. The most important things in life are free. Connection, love, touch, caring for one another. I invite us all to spend more time together. Call your friends, your family, get them all together. Celebrate the good times and be there for each other in the bad times. Grow closer, set new priorities. You can't change the world, but you can take small steps toward a better world every day within your sphere of influence.

This brings me back to the point of no return. After a year of traveling, I know only one thing: I can't go back to the life I led before. I don't know what the future holds, but I'm certain that life will guide me in the right direction if I trust and listen. I will prioritize myself, my friends, my family, the animals, and the planet, because that's what keeps us alive.

Point of no return?

One year on the road, have I arrived at a point of no return? When I think back to the last year it was one of the most transformational times of my life. I started driving up to north cape, seeing the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen before. Inside of me, so much fear, so much insecurity, so much not knowing and so much fear of the unknown. What it is to come.

This time kept me so much in the future and in the past that I sometimes almost couldn't handle myself. The insecurity of the future, lead me to a place that I was never in the here and now. I was constantly worrying about the future, while I repeated all the traumas of my past.

At Schweibenalp I first met so many great people and for the first time, I didn't think and worry so much about my future life anymore. I could feel that spark inside of me, a little climes, a small idea that there might be a great life waiting for me to explore. And I'm not saying that I was never happy in my old life. I was always a positive person, made the best out of all circumstances. I have a family, I have good friends, a safe job and financial stability.

What I realized is, that I didn't leave because I didn't like it or because I was totally unhappy. There was something else inside of me that knew that this is not all, not the only way, that there is more. And for the first time in my life I allowed myself to want more.

For a long time I couldn't really name the reason why I left or the reason why I started. And to look back now I would say that something inside of me was screaming so loud, that I couldn't ignore it anymore. A hunch, a voice, a feeling of now or never. So without any clue, I started my journey and so far I can say, it was the best desicion in my life.

I met the greatest people in the world. While still there are the greatest people at home. I met different ways of living, I figured out that I don't have to spend my time living alone and isolated, hoping that some relationship leads to not having this feeling of emptiness anymore. Waiting for the next appointment with my friends or family, that happens only every few weeks because life is so busy and time keeps running. I know that I actually really want to live together with beautiful human beings, meeting each other whenever we want, in the kitchen, cooking together, sharing our deepest thoughts and doubts and supporting each other through this life.

I figured out that we live in a system that is not working anymore. We get up in the morning to work our asses off for a company that doesn't even care how we feel. And if we are sick, the most important question is, when we will be recovered, to serve the same source that made us sick again.

I want to live in a system that is caring about the planet, the nature, the animals and the humans. Where we get back to our basic needs, which is food and shelter. Besides this, one of our most important needs as a human kind is connection. Connecting, seeing each other again. Carrying each other when needed. Emotional connection and, my personal biggest learning on this journey, physical touch without intention and besides sexual or intimate relationships. Besides the bedroom. One day I will release a separate article with just this topic, because for me it was a game changer. It was basically the one thing that was missing.

Life isn't about earning the most money, it isn't about building a big career, not about a name that you made, not about the number of followers and not about even more and more content.

My resume after one year of traveling is that less is more. Less money, less content, less pressure, less responsibilities, less consuming, less luxury, less having. What the world and humanity needs more of, is more connection with nature, animals and with each other, more bonding, more touch, more listening to each other, more taking care of each other, more together, less alone. More ease and more acceptance that everything comes and goes. More accepting that giving and receiving is the cycle of life. More of giving away of control, because actually we are not in control of anything. And if we accept this, life becomes so much more easy.

And if you read this and think, she can talk easily, she has no responsibilities, she has not to take care of, she's free. Then I just want to remind you that I created this freedom myself and it was not easy. I was engaged, we bought a house, I had a safe well-paid job and I left all that behind. Because, from the inside out, there was a call for me, that told me, there is a higher quest for me in this world to explore and expand my small universe. I had to go through a lot of darkness first before I can now slowly see what this was all for.

And don't get me wrong, I don't want to say you have to leave your family, sell your house and leave everything behind, that was just my path. I just want to remind you, that every desicion you make today, can change your tomorrow. That you have the power to make decisions that are good for the planet, your family, your kids and that you realize it's not all about the money, not all about owning things.

The most important things in life are for free. The connection, the love, the touch, the care for each other. I invite us all to be more together. Call your friends, your family, get them all. Celebrate the good times and be there for each other in the bad times. Get closer, change your priorities. You can't change the world but you can make small steps towards a better world every day within your field of influence.

That leads me back to the point of no return. After one year of traveling, all that I know is that I can't go back to the life I lived before. I don't know how it will show up in the future, but I'm sure that life gets me in the right direction if I trust and listen. I will set my priorities to myself, to my friends, my family, to animals and the planet, because this is what keeps us alive.
