Our last day of hiking should take us to the mountains to the Australian camp. This is a viewpoint in a very exposed location with excellent views of the mountains, as long as they are not covered in clouds... There is a campground, various lodges, and a checkpoint for the Annapurna reservation area, which requires a permit to proceed. We hiked a bit to the next village and then waited on the "Highway" for the bus to the mountains. It was so crowded that the last passengers were standing on the footboards and were more outside than inside. I sat on a sack of rice in the aisle, Conny and Camilla had secured tight seats behind the driver, and we were very happy when we arrived at the top. Then the sweat-inducing ascent to the camp began. Unfortunately, the mountains were only gradually revealed, so we descended again after a picnic and a long sunbath and walked/drove back.
