Sweet things in Primrose Hill, London

已发表: 19.03.2017

Finally another trip to London! :)
Haha, okay, sarcasm aside. I know, I've actually been to London four times since my birthday last Thursday! Whether it's bar hopping in Shoreditch (including a delicious midnight burrito at a market near Liverpool Station) with my roommates or celebrating the birthday of a Greek-English friend at a Japanese restaurant in the middle of Soho as a surprise. Which by the way was both very nice :)

Although or maybe because I take advantage of the opportunity to go to London so often, it's incredibly wonderful to realize that London will never be boring to me or could ever be. How could it be, there are so many corners to explore!

Just like this time! :) After getting off the train at King's Cross, we went straight to Piccadilly Circus. Then we went to Regent and Oxford Street (approximately the street I've seen the most since I arrived - which loyal blog followers among you have probably already noticed :D). But this time only briefly, after all we wanted to see new places!

Our roommate recommended the Westfield Shopping Center in Stratford to us. Since we have only been to the Westfield in Shepherd's Bush at the other end of London so far, that sounded like a perfect plan. Especially with the very bad weather forecast - in hindsight, the weather wasn't so bad after all. It was gray, but at least there was no rain.

That's why we decided to leave the shopping mall again and explore another new place. A friend from Germany recommended Primrose Hill and the cafe 'Sweet things' there to me. So we took the Overground train (yes, they actually exist, something I didn't even know until yesterday! :D) to Camden and from there by bus towards London Zoo, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.

As soon as we got off, I was pretty impressed. London is so damn diverse! While one corner can look rather gray and like a giant metropolis, a well-kept quarter with pretty old villas and a large park can surprise you just five minutes away by bus. That's exactly what Primrose Hill is. Visually, Primrose Hill is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. There were really many pink things there... Like the pink house or the pink tree. Very sweet! :)

Speaking of sweet... We visited the sweet cafe 'Sweet things', which really lived up to its name. We each ordered a chai tea latte, along with a cookie dough cupcake for Miri and a triple chocolate brownie for me. Yummy, yummy, yummy! After that, we were so full that we didn't even need dinner anymore :D

After fortifying ourselves, we went up to the hill - the hill from which you can enjoy a first-class view of London's skyline. It was particularly beautiful that it was already getting dark and the lights of London's famous highlights were shining at us. For example, there was the red illuminated London Eye, but also the lanterns in The Regent's Park, which created a really nice atmosphere.

To put it in a nutshell: another very nice trip to London with Miri, which included a few really worth seeing new places. In Primrose Hill, for example, I hope it won't be the last time I've been there :)

Take care!

Yours, Leonie
