Good evening America,
Good morning Germany,
We just arrived at the airport in San Francisco, and now it's time to say goodbye 😢
We are collecting so many new impressions here that it is impossible to take everything in.
Yesterday, I was in Great Britain for the first time, and today is my first full day in America.
Last night, there was no jet lag until the 'man with the hammer' turned up.
Today, sightseeing was on our agenda.
Current time: 9:25pm
- 16,237 steps
- 12.7 kilometers walked
- 38 floors
Together with our tour guide (impressive 837 pages), we visited the following hotspots:
- the (not particularly noteworthy) Union Square
- many beautiful small alleyways
- the huge Financial District
- Chinatown
- many other neighborhoods of this incredibly fascinating city
We would like to express our special thanks to the city of San Francisco, which not only sent a Boeing 747 over the Bay Area for our visit, but also had the 'Blue Angels' put on their show.
For those who don't understand a word of that: this week, the city is hosting the so-called Fleetweek. A major event in honor of the American military with around 1 million visitors per day.
A flight show takes place in the bay every day.
In general, you could say: big/loud - bigger/louder - USA 🙈
After the obligatory crossing of the Golden Gate Bridge (including a photo stop) and a visit to the beautiful Muir Beach, we are currently ending the evening in Downtown.
After the city, tomorrow it will be country and maybe also river 😋
Best regards and see you soon!
Maxi and Verena
