Dear friends,
today we looked at a stone with a hole, really beautiful I must say and the idea of swimming there is incredibly great, but unfortunately the water is icy cold and the beach at that point is not accessible to the public.
Surprisingly, it started today with bright sunshine. Confused by the time change, we made breakfast quite early and after a democratic agreement (Dad asked me and I decided), we came to the conclusion that another lazy day is the best for us.
So I did some laundry while Dad went to the beach and tried with all his father's power to drain the small pool that had formed directly behind the tiny sand dune. He persistently dug with his foot in the small furrow he had dug out, only for a new wave to overflow and destroy everything again. After a long, exhausting digging with his feet, the little stream finally flowed on its own, he continued to dig further into the sand until the waves suddenly became stronger and everything silted up again. It would be an exaggeration and probably a lie to claim that there was even a drop less water after our great action in the small pool. Anyway, it was fun. Building sand castles and admiring Newtonian fluids made of sand and water; just great.
The bike ride to the beautiful hole in the rock was unfortunately more than I had calculated over a hill, but despite everything, it was beautiful and I can't help but wonder why people have left the tower that stood on our viewing platform. Well, I love the place anyway, even if I'm not sure if I want to know how bad it is here in summer. Since everything had closed up again and the sky didn't look like it wanted the sun to peek out again, we drove back to Vieste to go shopping, and after finally having enough bread again, the most important part of the day began: relaxation.
Doing nothing and waiting for a few warm rays to be discovered, we enjoyed ourselves until the moment when the sun really peeked out briefly. So quickly into the water, because this could be our last opportunity to go swimming in the sea. Let me tell you, it was freezing. Since it will get even colder further north, I think this was probably our last time today, but unfortunately I can never rely on my craziness.
Quickly take a shower, eat again and relax again.
Since we didn't eat at the restaurant on the side of the bay at lunchtime today, we set off this evening to make up for it, but everything was locked, apparently the curfew for restaurants and bars starts today and not only tomorrow, as I read in a report. So, with empty stomachs, we had to turn around and go back to our motorhome, but then we had pasta with a super delicious sauce. We finally found one that tastes good to my spoiled German taste buds.
See you soon and hopefully no stricter measures will be taken.
