Today Tallinn's Old Town was on the itinerary. We had chosen three sights in the Upper Cathedral City. After a turbulent search for parking in the narrow streets of the city, we found a spot. Today we took the dogs with us and spent a total of three hours exploring on foot. The Old Town is characterized by small streets and there are almost no cars. You come across the sights naturally and can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Outside the former city walls, it is much more turbulent like in any capital and the architecture shows modern times. Tallinn impressed us with these two extremes.
In the early afternoon, we drove further towards Latvia 🇱🇻. While Estonian vegetation is reminiscent of Finland, Latvia already shows the proximity to Poland. Here we were able to drive directly on the coast and see the beach.
Arriving in Riga, we found a great spot within walking distance of the Old Town, so tomorrow morning we only have to start walking.
