Off to Aix-en-Provence

Phew, it was the first night that I actually slept really well. Except for a little disturbance by a mosquito! It's now stuck on my flip flop :-).

This morning, we had a delicious breakfast on our terrace and enjoyed the view. For a brief moment, we considered staying another night. But we decided to continue - to Aix-en-Provence!

However, we drove to the village of Oingt one more time and enjoyed a tasty espresso there. Then we set off comfortably.

The navigation system led us through the vineyards until we reached the highway. The route was simply amazing. I had to be careful not to drive into the vines while looking left and right :-)!

We had a three-hour drive ahead of us, which passed relatively uneventfully. In Aix-en-P., we booked a centrally located city hotel. The receptionist gave us a larger room. Now Littlefoot has a huge bed all to herself :-)!

With a city map in hand, we walked through the center and the old town in 32-degree sunshine. We had to stop repeatedly to admire the beautiful streets with the cute cafes in front of them. In the evening, it got busier and all the places we passed were filled with people.

We treated ourselves in a small bistro. Littlefoot also received her dog champagne from the waiter, so the three girls were all satisfied.

We'll see what tomorrow brings and whether we'll continue our journey?!
