Day 7 (2018) Dubai: Atlantis the Palm & Burj Khalifa & Dubai Fountain

Day 7: Atlantis the Palm & Aquaventure Waterpark, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall & Dubai Fountain

Even today, the temperature is already climbing to almost +40 degrees in the morning. We leave Abu Dhabi at 9 o'clock and head to Dubai. Our destination is Atlantis the Palm!

However, there is a tiny downside for our son: we have "only" booked one night, so there will be no chocolate fountain at "Kaleidoscope" this time. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a reasonably priced offer, so this time we will only enjoy the water park and aquarium, but not visit a restaurant.

We have croissants and cookies in our suitcase for breakfast tomorrow, that will do.

At 10 o'clock we arrive at Atlantis with our Nissan Sunny (no shame at all 🙈🤣) and hand over our "luxury car" to the valet parking service 😄😜

We walk over the red carpet into the lobby. Oh yes, always soooooo cool here!

We are lucky, because our room with "Ocean View" is already ready for occupancy. Perfect, so quickly bring the suitcase to the room, change and off to the water park!

We take loungers at the Torrent Beach near the Neptune Towers and race down the Shark Attack slide, the tube slide that goes through the aquarium. Still a highlight for the kids. This morning it's not too crowded yet, so we can slide down the slide multiple times before the waiting times get too long.

Unfortunately, this year the rafting channel is not continuously "navigable". That really annoys us. 😠😤🤬

The slide elevator "The Storm" is also closed. Now we have to walk back to Torrent Beach and then walk to the back of Poseidon Tower through the narrow channel every time. Nevertheless, we have fun and spend the afternoon in the main pool of Atlantis for a change.

After changing clothes, we visit the Lost Chambers Aquarium and then drive to Dubai Downtown in our Sunny. Destination: Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, more precisely Dubai Fountain.

We have dinner at Pizza Hut with a view of the Dubai Fountain and watch 3 water shows before we drive back to the Palm quite tired.
