Day 4 - Aquaventure Water Park & Oktoberfest in Abu Dhabi

After breakfast, we head back to the water park. It's not until late afternoon that we've had enough of the many water slides and rafting adventures and drive the nearly 1-hour journey to Abu Dhabi to visit family.

Today, there is a very special surprise waiting for us: it's Oktoberfest!

In the YAS Arena, where major concerts are usually held, the annual Oktoberfest Abu Dhabi is taking place today. We can't miss this. We've packed our dirndls and lederhosen just for this occasion. It's going to be fun!

My cousin and her husband are already expecting us. As soon as our suitcases are unloaded and the kids are tucked away in their room, we head to the Yas Arena. The kids stay home and are taken care of by the nanny - how convenient.

The huge arena is packed and it's really buzzing here! We have so much fun until late into the night. Unfortunately, I don't drink beer, so I switch to wine spritzer. But a "mass" of wine is really something... I'm afraid I won't feel so good tomorrow - but let's not think about that and let's sing along loudly to "Anton from Tirol" and the "Fliegerlied" before we get back to the house in the early morning hours.
