Off to Cape Town!

We officially enter South Africa after 5 days in the Kalahari! And then it's 260km to Upington. A test route for new cars/tires. The beautiful red dune landscape is getting smaller and smaller.

We use up our (fortunately) almost never used free minutes of our rented satellite phone and contact our family after 5 days without network.

In Upington (see map) we eat a delicious pizza (a great change after 5 days of grilling).

We return our (Toyota) Fortuner, which has lived up to its name: reliable, excellent, and without a tire puncture for over 4000km!!!!!! That is unbelievable for such a long distance on the gravel roads of Namibia, and I never thought that would happen (just always hoped).

Then we take a small plane to Cape Town. We fly just over an hour, over beautiful mountain landscapes. During the landing, we see the first beautiful sunset behind Table Mountain.

It's the 3rd time in this beautiful city for Konstantin and me. We will stay for a week and are looking forward to it!
