Let's go to the beach

Today on my plan: The Faro Monumental beach with its namesake landmark, the lighthouse. With my luck (yesterday the Japanese garden was closed for maintenance), access is currently not possible here either 🙄. Oh well, then off to the beach. Even though the weather wasn't ideal for sunbathing - what a stroke of luck - I was able to enjoy hearing, seeing, and smelling the sea very much!

After a short siesta, I went out again to find out where this bus terminal is and immediately got my ticket for tomorrow's overnight bus ride to Antofagasta.

For dinner today, I had 3 (three!) fried eggs. Breakfast here in Chile looks a bit different than at home. Although breakfast in bed is also quite nice 😉

Tomorrow I still have a whole day here in La Serena, let's see... Maybe with luck, the Japanese garden will be open again tomorrow.
