We spent another day in Kakadu National Park. This was the first time we could use our 4WD and push it to the limit.
We went swimming in Maguk and Gunlom. It was amazing to bathe with a 180-degree view from the top of a waterfall.
Since it was getting late, we camped at a roadhouse along the way. The owner drove us to the right spot on a quad bike. There was a box behind the driver's seat for a huge rifle. When I asked if it was dangerous, he said 'no worries' and that there was no gun in the box. About 5 minutes later, he fired three shots into the bush. But no problem at all.
Today, we drove 700km from Pine Creek to Katherine to Kununurra.
Tomorrow, we will head to the 4WD track, the Gibb River Road.
