Puerto Madryn

Ipapashiwe: 24.02.2020

23.02., Sunday. We were shown a few other church facilities by members of the church community where we slept, and a small city tour was included. In Comodoro Rivadavia, there was a priest, who has since passed away, who collaborated a lot with Italian aid institutions and was very popular across all social classes. That's why we have contact with MotoForPeace through the Italian institutions. After that, we were invited to have lunch with the bishop. Marco had already repaired Dinos Africa Twin with the new ball bearings that we could buy in the city. Around 2 pm, we started heading towards Puerto Madryn. The Argentine Pampa is so big and vast, comparable to the prairie in the American Midwest. Nothing but Pampa up to the horizon. There are also occasional wind turbines here. Strong wind is always present here. Since there is endless space here and nobody would mind, it is surprising that there are so few of them. Between Trelew and Puerto Madryn, there were already more, but compared to the available area, few. In this area, there was also a huge dinosaur figure to see. It was also interesting that we drove on stretches that were one to two meters below sea level. We also saw a few gauchos along the way. When we arrived in Puerto Madryn, we were able to take a few pictures from above the city. We sleep in a church facility, and before that, we had dinner.
