Blog 6 / Uspallata & Cruz de Paramillo

We start in Uspallata - the main thing for us there was the ATM (max withdrawal approx. 50 EUR). After a short visit to the old furnaces, we go back up into the mountains. The view from Cruz de Paramillo to the Andes is described very euphorically in a travel guide - well, it was just so-so. But of course, 'the spiral staircase' also intrigued us.

Anyway, we see our first group of condors and guanacos, which are not very shy. The descent costs Gerhard some sweat - narrow gravel road, steep cliff on the left, dangerously close rock noses on the right near the camper sidewall.
