Up to the Hot Water Beach

Hobbiton Movie Set:

Our bus there started at 10 from Matamata. We drove for a good 15 minutes to the

Set.

Once we arrived, our guide was introduced to us. Then we went straight across the meadows to all the little houses.

Just like in the movie, so just follow the pictures. 😁

We took a 2-hour hike and at the end we had a cold beer before moving on to our next stop.

95-hectar area with several divided themed gardens.

A leisurely walk through the facility back to the parking lot.

We spent our time at the Hot Water Beach on the sunniest day of the week.

After half an hour of digging, we sat in the sand and enjoyed the hot water. Temperature of about 40°C.

Afterwards, we relaxed in the café and then continued on to the next campground.

Tomorrow we will go to the Waipu Glowworm Cave.
