One of Annika's big wishes for this trip was about to come true.
We spent a day immersed in the world of Pippi Longstocking, Nils Holgersson, Carlson from the roof and others. The 'Astrid Lindgren Värld' is located in Vimmerby, the birthplace of the writer.
Since the stories have strongly influenced Annika's childhood, she was allowed to romp around all day and indulge in memories. Henry and I relaxed in the shade while Mom explored and experienced all the little sets.
It was a really nice trip. However, at the end of the day, Annika sadly concluded that the park is more suitable for children aged 6+ and that she has somehow become an adult.
The overnight stay in the parking lot was a stark contrast to the previous camping by the lake.
From Vimmerby, we spontaneously headed to Vadstena. A beautiful, small town on Lake Vättern. We spent a night next to the Wasa Castle. Once again, in a parking lot. We (I) were too stingy for the campsite.
After so much sleep on asphalt, we needed some greenery and Henry definitely needed some exercise on a meadow. So off to Katrineholm.
