On the next day, we think it's Wednesday, we decide to continue our journey. We want to go to the country where we always love to go. There we will spend a few days at the beach... maybe.
We start around 10 o'clock towards Groningen, our first stop on our stage. In three days, so on Friday, we want to be at our destination. The plan: Groningen today, Wilhelmshaven tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow the goal!
By chance, after some time, we realize that today is not Wednesday, but it is already Thursday. Damn it, we messed up. And now?
We think for a moment. We have enough diesel in the tank to take us to Germany and we are two drivers. So let's drive straight to Wischhafen and take the ferry to Glückstadt. This way we avoid Hamburg, where we would have to drive through the A7 and the endless construction sites.
So said, so done. We step on the gas pedal of our Oddomobil, we make miles.
We reach Wischhafen around 7:30 pm and there is no waiting time for the ferry. It goes well for us! On board the ferry and over to Glückstadt.
During the crossing, we enjoy the sunset.
Not far from the Elbe ferry is our pitch for the night. We arrived shortly after 8 pm. What a ride... just in Belgium, now back in Germany and tomorrow... at the destination!
We still enjoy the setting sun and then go out to eat something.
The night was very warm so we didn't sleep for long.
We were already on the road again around 9:30 am. We will have breakfast at some point.
We drove on country roads until we reached Itzehoe and then took the A23. No traffic jam, no construction site, and so we quickly got on the B5... the home straight!
We quickly stopped for some shopping, refueled, and then crossed the border into Denmark!
Shortly before 2 pm, we headed to the Oasen pitch on the island of Römö.
Today we were actually lucky. All 170 places were occupied, as we could see from the red pitch numbers. We had already thought about another pitch because we had almost completely driven around the place when we suddenly saw this:
Apparently, the last available pitch is now our place for the next few days. And we didn't get off that badly.
At the front like this:
At the back like this:
There is a slight breeze here and it is very comfortable.
We unpack everything and later we will go for a bike ride.
Then we will just relax and end the day.
