Explosion of colors
Just like the city's residents, the visitors to the Batu Caves were also a mix of different colors. In front of the entrance, Indian extended families caught pigeons to then throw them high up in the air and let them fly. Mountains of fresh coconuts awaited the thirsty in the midday heat, and women wove flower garlands at stalls that could be bought as offerings for the gods.

This time, two boys from Bangladesh and the Indian extended family wanted to take one with us. The freezer metro then took us back to Chinatown.On another day, to find some peace in our heads, we visited the Bird Park. It is a park covered by a huge net, so the colorful birds from all over the world can fly around almost like in nature. But some parrots there were less lucky: they were kept in small cages and nibbled on the bars, while their fellow species flew around and let visitors feed them milk. The rain poured down so heavily that even the peacocks sought shelter under the Coca-Cola umbrellas of the kiosk.
On the way home, we passed by a Taoist temple where a wild ceremony was going on. Men dressed in traditional costumes made loud, clattering music, and pink monsters (the elaborate costume was carried by two people) danced rhythmically to it. A little child monster was also there and danced in full ecstasy under its costume.
