Pichilemu (Chile)

Ipapashiwe: 18.11.2022

The small town of Pichilemu is located on the Pacific coast and is a hotspot for surfers from all over the world.

We spent the first week at Sirena Hostel at Punta de Lobos ("Place of the Sea Lions"). From there, we were not far from the steep cliffs where the two characteristic rocks jut out of the sea. In the morning, many seabirds (such as pelicans), sea lions, and dolphins gather there.

The accommodation was especially cozy as we sat around the campfire in the evenings with the other people. We played the guitar and enjoyed a few beers. ;)

Since Pichilemu is a well-known spot for surfing, we definitely wanted to try it ourselves. It was a lot of fun and we managed to ride some waves. On the last day, the conditions on the Pacific were particularly good and the waves were over 6m high. So, we were able to watch the professionals performing spectacular wave riding.

We ended the days on the beach with breathtaking sunsets.
