Finally, I managed to successfully complete my studies. Although I was actually well on track for submitting my thesis, the last few days were as stressful as expected. Luckily, I had allocated three days for printing the work. The first day was spent on final corrections and revisions. Well, I still had two days left for printing and submitting. The next morning, I happily set off to the copy shop with the urge to dramatic music. So I played Richard Wagner's 'Flight of the Valkyries', turned the corner to the copy shop and had to realize that it was closed. Maybe that was a bit too much and not so clever to challenge fate in this way. Well, off to the next copy shop, where the work could be printed. Finally, the work could be submitted at 5 minutes to 12, exactly 5 minutes before the office closes.
Last week, it was time to work hard one last time and prepare for the oral exam. I was able to successfully complete it on Friday, and nothing stood in the way of a proper flat party. I was very happy that friends from all over Germany, for example from the far north (Bremen) and from the south (Munich), took the long journey to visit me or us before the trip and celebrate properly.
On Saturday, the last belongings were moved to the attic, and I have now officially moved out (into a sublet).
Now I will visit friends and family and make some final travel preparations before it's time to say on Saturday: Off to Peru! :)
