Where should I start? Since yesterday we have safely arrived in Tokyo and settled into our hostel. Doesn't sound particularly spectacular, but everything was quite exciting and nerve-wracking. In the end, Simone and I make a great team: we navigated through the public transportation system (some train stations can only be reached by passing through electronics stores) and we also know our way around the airport very well (better not rely on the staff). Here's a big thank you to Simi, without whom I would probably be completely lost here! And while we're at it: thank you to my friends (in Magdeburg and around the world) who made me a super nice photo book as a gift! It was a very successful surprise ❤
Back to Japan:
I don't want to be too hasty with my opinion, after all, it's my first time in Asia. But I also want to be honest: after the first few hours of my arrival, I really wonder if Japan can be my 'new' home for half a year. I hope this thought will soon be confirmed with a yes. Probably, however, I will only have a meaningful idea after a few weeks. Today, I go to sleep with a queasy feeling in my stomach. But already the next morning, our tour of Tokyo begins and I am very much looking forward to it! New day, new luck!
