18.8.2022 - Halfway today

Today I only explored the area around Mariposa. I went to some lakes nearby (Lake McCure) which were pretty empty. The whole area was very bleak and there was not a single green blade of grass to be seen, only yellow meadows, burned fields, and forests. Afterwards, I wanted to see the giant sequoias in Mariposa Grove again. But for that, I had to go back to Yosemite Park, which unfortunately didn't work out today. My reservation had expired and was no longer valid. Instead, I visited the shops in Mariposa. I almost bought a cowboy hat 🤠 again 😂.

It was too hot anyway! We had 40 degrees again in Mariposa. Rain is urgently needed here, as almost everywhere...
