Skiing and sledding are good in Joshua Tree

After another great drive through the desert, I'm back in Arizona heading west, back to California, to visit Joshua Tree National Park.

From a distance, I could already see white mountains, but I didn't think they were part of the park.

But it was the park. Best winter weather in the middle of the desert. Apparently, it's an attraction for Americans, as countless cars and people populate the park.

But I still explored quieter corners 😉. In any case, another great landscape here, which doesn't look like a desert today (I would have preferred that) but still has an immense charm even when covered in snow.

I was on the road for 4 hours and then went to 'my' motel.

But actually, it belongs to Dolores... She was very surprised that a German is staying here.

What brings you in the desert?

And the fact that there's snow in the park was overwhelming for her. According to her, it's very rare, I was lucky🙄😎🍀.

In any case, life is buzzing here in the middle of the California desert.🤣 But I'm also in downtown Twentynine Palms.

Tomorrow morning I will go to my destination of my trip to San Diego. If there's a winter atmosphere there too, I'll stop immediately with all the drawings!

Did I mention that the past 2 weeks here were really great?
