Round trip through the national park

Two days off - so I got the Hakone Free Pass, which allows you to ride almost everything here, and off we go. From Lake Ashinoko you have a beautiful view of Mount Fuji :3 Unfortunately, the weather god was in a bad mood and wanted to annoy me on my two days off - rain, wind, fog, cold. On the first day, the fog was so thick that I could only see 2 meters from the lake. The tour with the pirate ship (also included in the Free Pass) was of course canceled. And Mount Fuji? It seems to be very, very shy. On the second day, the weather was not much better. But luckily I had Chiyo with me, who has been working with us this week as a temporary employee. She usually works at the Tokyo branch. So bus rides weren't boring and I could speak Japanese (although understanding was difficult because Chiyo is from Kyushu and speaks dialect :D)

And because it rained so much yesterday, we went to the Asahi Brewery in Odawara. Asahi is one of the largest breweries and beverage manufacturers in Japan. The tour of the brewery is free (in Japanese, but I had an English audio guide) and at the end, everyone can try three different beers - Pilsner, Stout, and Premium. Three glasses of 300 ml each in 20 minutes :D We only managed to finish 2 glasses. The Premium wasn't that good anyway. The other two were even better :)
