After 12 hours of sleep, the day started with an extraordinary breakfast. We were expecting paper plates and cups to serve ourselves with nutritious snacks like donuts and muffins and coffee or orange juice. Almost forgot: there was also an apple ;-)
After that, we went straight to Chinatown on foot to Fisherman's Warf, where there was another breakfast with bacon and eggs. Then we got on the hop-on-hop-off bus and went to the Golden Gate Bridge, which was covered in thick fog. We continued to the Golden Gate Park, a huge area that was transformed from a desert into a green space. In order to be able to dip our feet in the Pacific, we walked almost the entire park to finally reach the beach. Back on the bus, we went through the hippie district back to the hotel and after shopping, we continued right away. No time to lose :-) To end the day, we took a catamaran for a sunset sail out into the bay. Behind the fog, there was actually a clear view of Sausalito and we sailed through the fog-covered Golden Gate Bridge. Now local time 8:30pm, we are back at the hotel and happy to put our feet up. Until tomorrow :-)
