Saaremaa - the largest Estonian Baltic island

After our hike in the bog, we went more or less straight to Saaremaa, a really large Baltic island that can only be reached by car ferry. It is truly hard to believe how many beautiful beaches there are in Estonia and how much sun... We experienced a lot on the island, like our water hike. You always thought that you can do it with a paddle boat and stay more or less dry? Ha, completely wrong. When water hiking (at least in Estonia ;) you actually walk from island to island: through the water. The Baltic Sea is so shallow in many places that you can easily wade through. The deepest spot was the boat channel, where the water was about chest-high and Floh had to lift the backpack pretty high above his head so our things wouldn't get wet. (The funny babushka at the tourist information suggested that Floh should carry me if he is a true gentleman. --> For my own safety, though, I preferred to walk myself :D) You can see what else we did in the photos, which we have captioned this time.
