Koh Phi Phi Don

Ipapashiwe: 21.03.2020

My dears!

First of all, I'm sorry that it took so long again, but as always, a lot has happened in the last few weeks.

After Chiang Rai, I travelled across the country to the south. Here, there are several islands, white beaches, and crystal clear water. You can either go to quieter islands to relax or have the craziest party vacation ever. Those who know me already know what I chose. That's right, the latter.

So I started on Ko Phi Phi Don (Ko means island in Thai and is prefixed to all island names). Phi Phi is a cute little island of 28km2 in the Andaman Sea, lined with white powder beaches and deep blue coastlines.

Ferries leave from Phuket every 2 hours until 3 p.m. Be careful of scams. The ferry should only cost 350 baht.

On Phi Phi, there are many bars and clubs that offer black light and free UV colors. It's practically a must to party and celebrate every night. Fire shows are performed all night long on the beaches.

I spent one afternoon on one of the party boats. Imagine about 40 semi-grown kids who sail from bay to bay all day, dancing, playing with monkeys, and drinking many cocktails. Oh yes, it was so much fun!

But here too, be careful! You can get good boats, including drinks and meals multiple times a day for 700-900 baht. The experience is definitely worth it.

But the funniest thing was that I had to somehow protect my bandage from sand and water because of my toe injury. So I spent the whole days on the beach with a condom on my foot, which was the joke at every party. If someone had told me that I would need so many condoms on vacation...

That would actually be the perfect Durex advertisement: Protects in every situation.
