05a - 09.08.23: Day off - Waxriegelhaus

Wednesday 09.08.23: It's raining again in the Vienna Alps. Since the next stage over Rax and up to Schneealpe is technically challenging - the key section is the 'tame Gamseck', a via ferrata secured with ropes and ladders, which I have to tackle downhill - I'll stay an additional night at Waxriegelhaus. Climbing on wet rocks doesn't feel so great in the rain!

My body politely thanks me for the opportunity to regenerate.

But from Thursday there will be no more excuses about the weather - summer is supposed to come!

I explore the area, relax, and have already made friends with a delicate lady.....forgive me Fanny!
